Trim the wick to 1/4" length before (re)lighting.

Place the candle on a stable surface that is far away from flammable objects before lighting.
Avoid placing near a draft.

To prevent "tunnelling" allow enough time for the melt pool to reach completely to the edge of the vessel.
Do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.

To extend the longevity of your candle, do not blow it out. Use the lid or a snuffer to extinguish the flame. Never use water to put out your candle.
Do not burn your candle all the way down. Leave 1/2" of wax in the bottom.

Store unlit candles in a cool dry place to avoid softening and/or premature melting.
